The Club

IIEBM students engage themselves with a range of cocurricular activities through various Clubs and Committees that are formed for every specialization. The clubs conduct regular meetings wherein presentations are done by senior students on their Summer Internship Projects. Various topics under the purview of every specialization are discussed, issues are debated upon and a lot more.

Rotaract Club of IIEBM & IBS

Rotaract clubs are part of a global effort to bring peace and international understanding of the world. This effort starts at the community level but knows no limits in its outreach. Rotaractors have access to the many resources of RotaryInternational (RI) and The Rotary Foundation. Rotary International provides the administrative support that helps Rotaract clubs thrive.

Goals

  • To develop professional and leadership skills
  • To emphasize respect for the rights of others, based on recognition of the worth of each Individual
  • To recognize the dignity and value of all useful occupations as opportunities to serve
  • To recognize, practice and promote ethical standards as leadership qualities and vocational responsibilities
  • To develop knowledge and understanding of the needs,problems and opportunities in the community and worldwide
  • To provide opportunities for personal and group activities to serve the community and promote international understanding and goodwill toward all people

Activities conducted

  • Two blood donation camps conducted at IIEBM campus in association with Rotary Club of Khadki and Akshay Blood Bank on 24th September, 2009 and 28th August, 2010
  • Drug Abuse Awareness presentation conducted in Shivajiraje Auditorium, IIEBM on 26th September, 2009.
  • Fellowship meet - an interactive session between prominent members of Rotary Club of Khadki and Rotaract Club of Khadki at IIEBM on 5th October, 2009

  • Drug Abuse Awareness presentation conducted at Bilcare Research Academy on 6th October, 2009.
  • Took part in the walk-a-thon organized by Sancheti Institute for orthopedics and rehabilitation at Shivajinagar on 11th October, 2009 (Sonali Kulkarni - Guest of Honor).
  • Thalassemia awareness seminar at IIEBM on Nov. 6th, 2009.
  • Children’s Day Celebration at Manavaya – A home for the HIV+ve children on November 14th, 2009.
  • Elections for the post of President for Rotaract for Year 2010-11 held on 21st August 2010.
  • Charity marathon at Sadhu Vaswani Mission on December 2010.
  • Vocational Training Program on “Getting Across” conducted by Rotary Club of Riverside on 21st August, 2010.
  • All Rotaractors attended a Play on “Common Man – By Mr. R.K. Laxman” on 4th September, 2010.
  • Rotaractors participated in “Rotary Idol Competition” on 31st October, 2010 where our student Harshit Agnihotri revieved the best Rotaractor Idol Award along with a Cash award of Rs. 5001/-

Future Activities

  • Fund raising activities like Rock Concerts and Sports Tournaments.
  • Organise ecology related activities like tree plantation and cleanup drives etc.
  • Associate with animal welfare groups.

Resource Cascade - The Human Resource Club

Activities

  • Personality Development and communication sessions for students who need to prune their communication and soft skills.
  • ELAN, the IIEBM energy, which showcases the enthusiasm of the students by highlighting the various activities, important events of college, student articles, major happenings of the business world and much more.

Financial Capsule - The Finance Club

Activities

  • Launch of INVESTMENT FORUM, whose aim is to give intrinsic knowledge of stock market to students through investment in shares.
  • All the members are assigned a portfolio of specific companies to keep a watch on scrips followed by the fundamentals and technical analysis of scrips.

Marketing Milestone - The Marketing Club

Marketing milestone is an endeavor to inculcate the value of applying what we learn?" it is an effort to involve all the students to take an initiative with innovation, thereby building values like team spirit and leadership.

Future Activities

  • To launch an advertisement project.
  • Studying marketing strategies of top companies.
  • We, in association with financial club are planning to launch a laundry service project.
